LazyGEO is run by Dmytro Virych. This page says what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
- Your account. Your name and email address when you sign up.
- Your product. Your website address, the public pages we read from it, and the facts we extract from them. You can correct any fact.
- Your competitors. The products you tell us AI names instead of you.
- AI answers. The questions we ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini for you and every answer they give, word for word.
- Search Console data. If you connect Google Search Console: read-only data about your site's Google searches, clicks, impressions and pages. You can disconnect it any time.
- Your connections. If you add them: the DNS records for your
compare.subdomain and for the subdomain we send outreach from. We never ask for your mailbox password and never send from your personal inbox. - Outreach. The names, public contact details and public pages of the authors we pitch for you, and the messages we send and receive.
- Billing. Your plan and payment status. Card details go to Creem; we never see or store them.
- Technical data. Server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) kept to run and secure the service.
- Site analytics. Which pages of this site are viewed, the site a visitor came from, and their country and device type, through DataFast. Cookie-based only if you accept; otherwise without cookies (see Cookies below).
- Free website check. The website you check, its result, and the email address you give to see the result. We send you tips and news only if you tick the box for it; every such email has an unsubscribe link.
- Home page layout test. The home page shows one of two layouts, picked at random on each visit, to learn which one explains LazyGEO better. DataFast records which layout you saw, whether the video played to the end and whether you started a free check. Nothing is stored in your browser for this.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Run the service: check what AI says, publish your pages, send the outreach you did not stop, message you about results | Contract |
| Bill you, and keep tax and accounting records | Contract and legal obligation |
| Show your Google traffic from Search Console | Consent (you connect it, and can disconnect it any time) |
| Keep the service secure and fix problems (server logs) | Legitimate interest |
| Count visits to this site without cookies | Legitimate interest |
| The DataFast analytics cookie | Consent (the cookie banner) |
| Email the authors of lists AI cites, for our customers | Legitimate interest (ours and our customer's) |
| Show you your free website check, and keep it with your email | Legitimate interest |
| Send you tips and news after a free check | Consent (the box you tick, which you can withdraw any time) |
We do not sell your data. We do not use it to advertise to you. We do not train AI models on it.
Google user data
We use Search Console data only to show you your Google traffic and to decide what to work on for your product. LazyGEO's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to theGoogle API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Who processes it for us
We use these providers to run LazyGEO. Each gets only what it needs for its job.
- Clerk: sign-in.
- Creem: our merchant of record: payments, tax and refunds. Card details go to Creem; we never see or store them.
- Neon: the database, hosted in Europe (London).
- Vercel: hosting for this site, the app and your answer pages.
- Railway: the servers that run checks and write pages.
- Resend: our emails to you and the outreach sent from your subdomain.
- OpenAI: ChatGPT answers to the questions we check, reading your site and writing drafts.
- Anthropic: Claude answers to the questions we check, reading your site and writing drafts.
- Google: Gemini answers to the questions we check; and, only if you connect it, read-only Search Console data for your site. We store the Search Console access token encrypted.
- Perplexity: Perplexity answers to the questions we check.
- DataFast: visitor analytics for this site, such as which pages are viewed and which site a visitor came from.
Transfers outside the UK and EU
Some of these providers process data outside the UK and EU, including in the United States. When they do, the transfer is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
The 24-hour rule
Nothing goes out in your name without a 24-hour window and a Stop button. Every pitch and every page waits in your activity log, with a countdown, before it leaves.
If we emailed you
If you wrote a list or comparison of tools, we may have emailed you for one of our customers, to suggest their product for your page. We found your address on a public page, such as the article itself or your site's contact page. We never guess or buy addresses.
To stop, reply "stop" or email support@lazygeo.com. We never email you again. You can also ask us what we hold about you, or to delete it.
How long we keep it
While your account is open. When you close it, we delete your data within 30 days, except what we must keep for tax and accounting. Pages already published on your subdomain stop being served when you remove the DNS record or close your account.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- get a copy of your data (access);
- have it corrected (correction);
- have it deleted (deletion);
- get it in a format you can take elsewhere (portability);
- object to how we use it (objection);
- ask us to limit how we use it (restriction);
- take back your consent at any time, where we rely on it;
- complain to a supervisory authority, such as the data protection authority where you live.
To use any of these, email support@lazygeo.com.
Cookies
This site asks before it sets any analytics cookie. Until you choose, and if you decline, DataFast counts visits without cookies: each visitor is a hashed identifier made from the IP address, browser and a key that changes every day, so visits on different days are not linked. If you accept, DataFast sets a cookie to tell new visitors from returning ones. Your choice is saved in your browser; change it any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer. No advertising cookies. The app uses cookies only to keep you signed in. This site's fonts are served from our own server, not from Google.
